Roger R. St. Germain, 94, of Andover, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Amesbury, MA on May 11, 1924, a son of the late Hormidas and Eveline (Broulliard) St. Germain. He is survived by his daughters Cheryl Morrell and husband Calvin of Tewksbury, MA, Diane St. Germain and husband Thomas McCarthy of Barnstead, NH, and Brenda King and husband Daniel of Lawrence, MA; grandchildren Melissa Bernardin and her partner Matthew Ryan of Concord, NH, Danielle King Colby and husband Tanner of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher King and his partner Alena of Brooklyn, NY, and Elizabeth King Carey and husband Brian of Wells, ME; great-grandchildren Chloe Bernardin, Dashiell Colby, Theodore Colby, and Silas Carey; sister Pauline Macey of Salisbury, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Persis (Parker) St. Germain, brothers Maurice and Joseph St. Germain, sister Doris Marsolais, and grandson Keith Roger Bernardin. He graduated from Amesbury High School with the Class of 1942. He served in the US Navy in WWII aboard the USS Colorado and USS Gilbert Islands.

At the time of his retirement, Roger was a tool designer for Thermo Electron. Roger was a role model for three generations of his family – principled and generous, loving and gentle. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Monday, February 18 from 1pm-4pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen MA, 01844.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roger’s memory to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843. The family would like to thank his visiting nurse Shannon, who always brightened his day, and the staff of High Pointe Hospice House for their exceptional care.
