Ronald Ephraim Witte Rhodes, Michigan Ronald Ephraim Witte, 82, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 in Midland, Michigan. He was born September 27, 1936 to the late Bill & Sarah Witte in Rhodes, Michigan. Ron attended Pinconning High School and served in the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis.

Ron owned Ron’s Well Drilling for 17 years and Independent Well Drilling for 20 years. He also ran Ron’s Gun Shop before getting into the well drilling business. Ron… Read More » was a loyal member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, The Cycle Conservation Club, a Distinguished Lifetime Member of the Valley Trail Riders Club and retired from the Carpenters Union.

He was an avid hunter and loved to fish, making yearly trips to Canada for more than 65 years. He taught himself to play the violin at 69 because of his love of music and his memories of hearing his father play. He married the love of his life Geraldine Woods on May 7, 1960.

Ron and Geraldine were blessed with three children; Geri Bea Witte, RJ (Brenda) Witte, and Bret (Steph) Witte, and adopted daughter Kathy Trask. They had nine grandchildren; Stephanie (Justin) Mason, Chris (Kendra) Davis, Tabitha (Steven) Johnson, Amanda Davis, Samantha, James, Jeremy, Jared, Kylie and Katie Witte. They also had six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Witte, daughter, Geri Bea Witte, son RJ Witte, and granddaughter; Samantha Witte, 9 siblings; Carl (Nita) Witte, George Witte, Rich (Sigrid) Witte, Walt (Shirley) Witte, Wilma (Charley) Ostrander, Lorraine (Bub) Preger, Joyce (Lou) Devan, Norma Sue (Bill) Coats, and Stue (Kay) Witte. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 a 11 am at Hope Lutheran Church in Rhodes with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding, with burial in Hope Lutheran Cemetery with full Military Honors. Friends may call at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home in Pinconning, on Thursday, November 29, from 11 am until 8 pm.

Ron will lie in state from 10 am until the time of service.
