Obituary of Ronald Lindsay Ronald H. Lindsay, age 81, of Shorewood, IL, passed away peacefully, Friday April 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 23, 1936 in Effingham, IL he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret (nee Koester) Lindsay. Ron was a longtime Joliet area resident and President of Commercial Electronics Systems, Inc

He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve and the National Guard, and a member of the Shorewood Glen Veterans Group. For many years, he was a board member of the Galowich Family Y.M.C.A. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, sailing, snowmobiling, water skiing and snow skiing.

He was also a lifelong Chicago Blackhawks fan. Surviving are his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Tkaczyk) Lindsay; his cherished children, Ronald J. (Denise) Lindsay of Orlando, FL, Marybeth (Christian) Moore of Bonita Springs, FL, and Greg Lindsay of Plainfield; three loving grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Lindsay and Djuna Moore; and a brother, Larry Lindsay of Chicago. He also dearly loved his cat, Baxter.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice, especially his nurse, Cynthia, and nursing assistant, Holly, for their loving care and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
