Ronald Rose, Jr., 63, of Cheboygan, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Hospice House in Cheboygan. Ron was born April 29, 1955 in Petoskey, the son of Ronald and Elaine (Bunker) Rose. He had been employed by Citizen’s National Bank in Cheboygan for 33 years, retiring in 2013.

Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing and could be found on the Cheboygan River during steelhead season. He also enjoyed visiting the local coffee shops and “holding court” with his friends. He loved watching hockey and football and his dog, Britty.

Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends, as he was one of a kind. Surviving are his father, Ronald of Cheboygan, three brothers, Brandon Jeffery (Sharon) Rose of Pellston, Louis (Colleen) Rose, and Russell “Rusty” (Denise) Rose, both of Cheboygan, a sister, Lora Lynn (Kirk) Watson of Grand Rapids, two nephews, Carson Rose of Centerline, and Hunter Rose of Sault Ste. Marie, two nieces, Isabelle and Virginia Rose, both of Midland, and his longtime friend and fishing buddy, Steve Viau.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Rose. No services are planned at this time. Memorials contributions may be directed to the Hospice House of Cheboygan.
