Ronnie Baker, beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Friday, March 29th, 2019 at the age of 61. Ronnie was born in Leavenworth, Ks to Rose Marie Guy and Buford Baker, on March 21st, 1958. He was a 1976 graduate of West Platte RII High School, and later served in the U.S Navy aboard the USS Harry W. Hill from 1982-1985.

Ronnie worked as a small engine mechanic all of his life. He worked at Bledsoe’s Rental in Kansas City, Mo. , later opening his own repair shop in Platte City, Mo.

After closing his shop, he worked for Toro in Kansas City, Mo. , and ended his career at HH Halferty & Sons in Smithville, Mo. , where he worked for 12 years.

Ronnie lived at Bean Lake and loved being outdoors, living at the lake where it was peaceful, with all of the wildlife. He lived his life for his daughter and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to all of their soccer and baseball games, and having them over to fish, ride 4-wheelers, and jet ski at the lake.

He was preceded in death by his newborn son, Nathan Baker, mother, Marie Tolle, and father, Buford Baker. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Shain Farr, seven grandchildren, Kollin, Koltin, Nikolas, Wyatt, Khloe, Maxwell, and Adeline Farr, brothers, Shirley Baker, Bill Tolle, sister, Judy Miller, and six nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 3:00pm at the Hoover Christian Church.
