Ronnie Dale Tester May 02, 1948 – March 29, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Ronnie Dale Tester, 70, Erwin, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. Born May 2, 1948 in Elizabethton to the late Wade & Alpha Joines Tester. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and East Tennessee State University with a degree in Business.

He was a Loan Officer and Vice President of Mtn. Commerce Bank. He was a member of the Erwin Kiwanis Club.

Ronnie was a member of the Central Church of Christ, Johnson City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Connie Tester. Survivors include his wife of 48 years: Bandy Tester.

His Children: Robert (Sheilan) Tester, Johnson City, Angie (Marty) Smith, Gray and Misty (Tim) Ball, Unicoi. Six Grandchildren: Alexis Ball, Shelbie Tester, Sophie Tester, Bentley Smith, Kate Smith and Tristan Ball. One Sister: Janie Tester, Elizabethton.

His Mother-In-Law: Rosa Barton. Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 in the Washington County Memory Gardens with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday will be: Harvey Mitchell, Rick Corvin, Bill Bradley, Grady Lingerfelt, and Mark Necessary.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ashley Whitehurst, Larry Forbes, Wayne Allen, John Hutchinson and John Bannister. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the Central Church of Christ, (Johnson City, TN, Oakland Avenue) with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Ronnie to the Niswonger Children’s Hospital, 400 N. State of Franklin, Johnson City, Tenn. 37604. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday.
