Roy’s Obituary Roy Charles Toegel, age 86, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully February 24, 2019 in North Mankato surrounded by his family. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato at a later date. Roy was born February 8, 1933 to Charles F. and Mary T. (Unzeitig) Toegel in Mankato. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1951.

He served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. On July 10, 1954 Roy married Grace Juberian. Together they raised seven children.

He retired from Mankato Citizens Telephone Company in 1995. Roy is survived by his wife, Grace of 64 years; children, Susan (Michael) O’Brien, Bradley (Jane) Toegel, Sharon (David) O’Neil, Patrick (Kristin) Toegel, Daniel (Aimee) Toegel, and Kristy (Al) Christianson; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and cousins, Carrol Parkos and Shirley Edwin. He was preceded in death his parents; and beloved son, John.
