ROY’s Obituary Roy Francis Critser, 77, of Zion, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his home. He was the son of the late Roy Lacy and Elizabeth Critser. Roy was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.

After retiring as an engineer with CSX Railroad, he was a travel agent for more than 20 years. He was also a proud Kentucky Colonel and a member of American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gabriele W. Critser; five children, Mark Van Meter and his wife, Teresa, of South Carolina, Angelika Garner and her husband, Kurt, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, Amanda Morris, Gina Stauber, and Dan Critser; two brothers, Wayne Critser and his wife, Linda, of Henderson, Kentucky, and Reedy Critser of Evansville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Mark Van Meter (Amber), Ashley Conrad (Sam), April Van Meter, Kaylee Purdy, Chuck Smith, Alexis Stauber, and his special grandson, Aaron Garner; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Reverend Marcus Daly and the Reverend Doug Hamblin will officiate.

Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Henderson County Diabetes Coalition or Zion Baptist Church Building Fund. Pallbearers will be members of the Zion Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences may be made at www.
