Roy Gordon Cook, 80, husband of Patricia Hayes Cook, former resident of Timberwood Road, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at NHC – Clinton surrounded by his loving family. Born February 19, 1938 in Jefferson, NC to Gionia Badger Cook and the late H.F. Cook, he graduated from Jefferson High School and earned his BS from East Tennessee State and attended Georgia State University. Roy served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Surviving other than his mother of NC and his loving wife of 56 years, are his son, Kevin G Cook of Greenwood; his daughter Karen M Cook of Greenwood; his granddaughter, Kierstin H Cook of Greenwood; his sister Linda C Church and husband Bill of West Jefferson, NC; his very special fury friend Andy.

No services are planned. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00PM until 7:00 PM at the home, 106 Timberwood Road. Memorials in Roy’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Greenwood, P.O. Box 49776 Greenwood, SC 29649.
