Ruby Nell Sullivan Gibson, 88, wife of the late James E. Gibson, of 1028 Stribling Shoals Road, Walhalla, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. Gibson was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Bonnie Collins Sullivan. She retired from the Walhalla Garment Plant and Jantzen.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Hattie Miller Sunday School Class at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Walhalla, SC. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her sons: Randy Gibson (Karen), Rick Gibson (Lisa), Larry Gibson (Linda) and Johnny Gibson; brother: Leroy “Roy” Sullivan; sisters: Bonnie Nichols and Bernice Bond; grandchildren: Shawn Gibson, Amanda Gibson, Tracy Morris, Crystal Martin, Misty Gibson and Heather Spark; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her daughter: Karen Melody Heaton; sisters: Mildred Langston, Julia Ward, Pauline Sullivan and Annette Sullivan; and brothers: Alvin Sullivan and W.R. Sullivan.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM, Saturday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
