James Harold Dodd, 79, of Seneca, passed away, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of West Union, SC, Mr. Dodd was the son of the late James Marvin Dodd and Minnie Annie Mary Ellen Brucke Dodd. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and later retired from Duke Energy.

Mr. Dodd enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking. He was a member of the Oconee Road Runners and Utica Baptist Church. Mr. Dodd is survived by a daughter: Stephanie Duncan (Tommy) of Seneca, SC; brothers: Jackson Dodd (Judy) of Seneca, SC and Raymond Dodd of Seneca, SC; sister: Wilma Dain of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren: Tyler Duncan, Tara Duncan and Casey Duncan; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his sisters: Jewel Price and Irene Grant. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019, at Utica Baptist Church with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service, at the church.
