Obituary for Ruby Williams Ruby Mae Jefferson Williams, a retired Developmental Disability Occupational Therapist, entered into rest on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home in Kenner, La. at the age of 73. Ruby Mae Jefferson Williams was born August 22, 1945 to the union of the late Thomas and Norma Jefferson.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Enlighten Fellowship Church. Ruby was baptized at an early age and received her Christian foundation while attending the True Vine and Greater Emmanuel Baptist Churches and her final membership was with the Enlighten Fellowship Church of Kenner, La. She was married to the late Titus Williams, Jr. and to that union was born four children.
She worked in several different fields such as Retail, Education, Financial Management and finally retired as an Occupational Therapist for Adults with Developmental Disabilities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Titus Williams, Jr.; her parents, Thomas and Norma Jefferson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Titus, Sr. and Rose Williams; two brothers, Nelson, Jr. and Boston Johnson; one sister, Barbara Johnson Bell; one brother-in-law, Louis Williams; one sister-in-law, Delores Williams Cyres and one grandson, Troy Guibord. She leaves to cherish her in memory her four children, Ricky, Katrina A., Titus, III (Krystal) and Troy A. (Sheila) Williams; seven grandchildren, Brandy, Luther Jr., Brittany, Christopher, Tyasha, Titus, IV and Asrielle; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Gail Johnson Fitch (Herman, Jr.); one brother, Joseph Jefferson (Anita); two brothers-in-law, Bennie and Victor Williams; three sisters-in-law, Yvonne Williams, Cora Lee Williams Smith and Elizabeth Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Her bright smile will be sadly missed. Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord and take your rest.
Funeral Services will be held at Payne Memorial AME Church, 3306 South Liberty St. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with Pastor Darryl V. Phoenix, Officiating. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery.
