Russella’s Obituary “It is not the length of life, but the depth of life”. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Memorial services celebrating the life of Russella Maturin will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard, LA. The family request that visiting hours be observed from 10AM until Memorial Services at 12 Noon.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Russella Palombo announce that she peacefully passed away on the 17th of March 2019 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA. Affectionally known as “Sella” or “Aunt Sell”, she was an extraordinary force of nature who was fiercely devoted to her family and numerous friends. Sella did not know a stranger; she was a friend to all.

She was a lover of all animals, large or small. Her contagious laughter and bright smile could lighten up the darkest of rooms. Sella was genuine and very loving, but also very opinionated and protective when it related to anyone who she cared deeply for.

She enriched our lives throughout the 49 years she was on this earth. Sella left a mark on our hearts that not even death can take away. Russella was a Blue Status presenter with Younique.

She frequently posted live make up tutorial videos on Facebook that were both comical and informative. She enjoyed dancing, eating sushi, buffets, playing bingo, trips to the casino, getting together with her friends and spending time with her family. Russella is survived by her siblings, Evette Moore, Laurie Bergeron, Liz Touchet, Michelle Williamson, Rhonda Martinez, Shawn Hebert, Shannon Larousse, Eva Cormier and Heather Record, Raymond Longee, Adam Palombo, Russell Palombo, Jr. and Brandon Hebert.

She also survived by her god children, Dusty Moore and Desiree Touchet. She was affectionally known as Gam Gam to Katherine Bouillion. Russella was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruby Hebert, Russell Palombo and Judy Hebert; brother Shane Palombo and her brother-in-law Steve Touchet.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 5th and 7th floors ICU at Lafayette General Medical Center, the nursing staff at St. Joseph Hospice The Carpenter House for all their compassion they showed to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Acadiana Animal Aid at 142 Medicin Rd. Carencro, LA 70520 in honor of Russella Maturin.
