Ruth C. Wester (nee Pierron) of Port Washington, passed away peacefully at Harbor Club on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born on November 22, 1927 to Peter and Catherine (nee Heinen) in Port Washington. Ruth married the late Norman Wester at St. Rose Catholic Church on October 8, 1949 in Fredonia and together they had one son.

She enjoyed cooking and baking. Ruth also crocheted and knitted in her free time. She was a founding member and past president of the Belgium Legion Auxiliary and was active in Christian Ladies at St. Mary’s, Lake Church.

Ruth is survived by her son Dean (fiancé Nancy Kreutzer) Wester; sisters-in law Joann Schmit, Mary Ann Wester, Darlene Wester. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and her sister Rita Pierron.

A Funeral Service for Ruth will be at 6:00PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium, WI 53004). Visitation will be at the FUNERAL HOME from 3:00PM until the time of service.

Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association of WI. A special thank you to the caring and dedicated staff at Harbor Cove, her home of nine years.
