Ruth Hamilton, 87, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan, Indiana. She was born on June 18, 1931 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of John and Esta (Conner) Tarwater. Ruth graduated from high school and worked at American Latex for several years.

She was a member of the Sullivan Baptist Church, Eastern Star and the Sullivan American Legion Auxiliary Post #139. Quilting was her passion. Ruth is preceded in death by parents, husband, Don Hamilton, sister, Frances Creek and two brothers; Rush Tarwater and Russell Tarwater.

Survivors include two sons; John (Linda) Hamilton and Dennis (Kerri) Hamilton all of Sullivan, Indiana, two grandchildren; Kristopher (Megan) Hamilton and Andrew (Suzanne) Hamilton and great-grandson, Siler Hamilton, three step-grandsons; Damon, Matthew and Darin Mason and four step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Brett Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home.
