Obituary for Ryan Gene Hogan Ryan Gene Hogan, 27, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away, Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born on May 19, 1991 to Billy and Jeanette (Newberry) Hogan in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Ryan graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 2009.

He then attended Colorado Technical University and studied criminal justice with his focus on homeland security. Ryan was serving with Company A, 4th Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 1 BCT at Fort Bliss, Texas. He loved his country and was proud to be able to serve.

Ryan married the love of his life, Caitlin Jackson, on August 4, 2017 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He enjoyed playing video games and loved spending as much time as possible with his family. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Ryan was a proud father and loved spending time with his boys. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jackie and Phyllis Newberry.

He is survived by his wife, Caitlin Hogan of Artesia, NM; sons, Abel Hogan, Jace Hogan both of Muskogee, OK, and Paxton Hogan of Artesia, NM; parents, Billy and Jeanette Hogan of Sapulpa, OK; paternal grandparents, Bill and Glenda Hogan both Muskogee, OK, and Robin Bynum Adair of Pryor, OK; siblings, Cameron Hogan of Sapulpa, OK; Whitney Boyd of Tulsa, OK, and Zachary Dillon of Muskogee, OK; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Ryan’s life will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 26, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Interment will follow at Citizen’s Cemetery with Justin Kendall, John Turner, Trevor Filson, Jeffrey Heredia, Brandon O’Dell, Cody Evans, Cameron Hogan, and Thomas Yadon serving as pallbearers.
