Obituary for Sam Hughes Sam ‘Bo’ Hughes, age 62, of Emerald Lane in Spruce Pine, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Brian Center Health & Rehab in Spruce Pine. Born on May 18, 1956 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Sam Jack Hughes and Ann Revis Hughes. Bo was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel fan and was also a huge fan of NASCAR Racing.

He enjoyed fishing and his dogs. Left to cherish his memories are his mother; Ann Revis Hughes of Spruce Pine; his sister; Doris Grindstaff and husband, Steve of Bakersville; and his brothers; Paul, Charlie, and Joe Hughes all of Spruce Pine. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Bo Hughes on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev.

T J Robinson officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
