Obituary for Samuel David Hannon Samuel David Hannon, 79, widower of Virginia Cantrell Hannon, passed away November 15, 2018. A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late William R. and Clara Belle Jennings Hannon, a self-employed paint contractor, served in the SC National Guard and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are one daughter, Tracy McKinney; three sons, Mitchell, Tim and Benny Hannon all of Greer; six brothers, J.W. Hannon, Robert L. Hannon, Buddy Hannon, Marshall Hannon, Jimmy Hannon and Ray Hannon; five sisters, Eva Pace, Linda Gambrell, Faye Rumsey, Ann Stewart and Donna Hill; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by two brothers. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Hannon, Jonathan Hannon, Chad McKinney, Kyle McKinney, Jacob McKinney, Luke Hannon and Reese Hannon. Visitation will be held 2:15 until 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to Interim HealthCare Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd. , Greenville, SC 29615.
