Columbiana- Samuel G. Madden, age 88, of Columbiana, died on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Whispering Pines Village, Columbiana. He was born on October 23, 1929 in Petersburg, OH. , the son of the late George and Ethel Kerr Madden.

Sam was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during Korean War. He had worked as a salesperson for Kraft Foods and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana. His wife, Charlotte Ramsey Madden, whom he married on July 30, 1950, preceded him in death on December 14, 1983.

He is survived by his son, Gregory Madden of Lancaster, OH; daughter, Peggie Paulk of Austintown, and by his companion, Karen Sikora of Columbiana. Sam was preceded in death by a sister Arlenne Kline. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Fritz Nelson officiating. Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana, 28 E. Park Ave, Columbiana, OH 44408.
