Obituary for Samy Joseph Molgano Samy Joseph Molgano, 89, husband of Marie (Papallo) Molgano, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Stamford, Connecticut on January 8, 1929, he was the son of the late James Molgano and Mary (Celella) Molgano. He had resided in Meriden and spent winters in Jensen Beach, Florida for 25 years.
Mr. Molgano was employed by International Silver and the State of Connecticut. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Marines. He served in China for two years.
Samy was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Besides his loving wife Marie, he is survived by his three daughters, Janice and her husband Barry Eichenauer, Deborah and her husband William Dudzik and Cynthia and her husband Dennis Craig; his son, Brian and his wife Tawn Molgano; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He also leaves behind his brother, Louis and his wife Rita Molgano and his two sisters-in-law, Mary Lynn McDade and her husband William and Paula Molgano.
Also left to cherish Samy’s memory are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Michael, James, Richard and Amelio; his sisters, Kay, Josephine and Mary; his son-in-laws Robert Hazzan and Rev. John Papallo and his sister-in-law, Joan Papallo Grodzicki.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the John J.
