(Shell) Brown – age 59 of Philadelphia, passed away October 21, 2017. Sandra was saved at a very young age and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Philadelphia, TN. As a young girl she was active in Brownies and Girl Scouts, played on the basketball team and enjoyed gardening as a member of the 4-H Club.

She played in the school band and continued at Loudon High School where she was the Drum Majorette for 3 years. She was selected to attend Girl’s State and was voted as the most outstanding female of her graduating class. She was an accomplished pianist but her proudest accomplishment was as a mother to her daughter Makhaila.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Eugene Brown, (August 2017) and her sister Cynthia Shell Dotson “Cindi”; paternal grandparents, Haskel Robert and Iva Mary (Allen) Shell; maternal grand parents, Floyd and Mattie (Sullivan) McDaniel; uncles, A.J. Shell, Herbert Shell, Bill Thompson, Sr. Ross “Jeep” McDaniel, Howard “Sonny” McDaniel and Lewis McDaniel; aunts, Barbara Sue Shell McNabb, Ernestine Shell Kyker, Marjorie McDaniel and Ruth McDaniel Thompson and a cousin, Gary Wayne Shell. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Makhaila and Brian Woodlief, Madisonville, parents, Robert Eugene and Imogene (McDaniel) Shell, Sweetwater and Loudon; nephew, Robert Blake Dotson; very special friends, Evelyn Satterfield, Judy Tilley and Lisa Waller Johnson, aunts, Pauline Shell, Diolene McDaniel and Phyllis McDaniel; uncles, Reed (Sylvia) McNabb, Clarence Ray McDaniel; cousins, Bill Thompson, Jr., Sherry Thomas, Teresa (Roy) Fox, Valerie Lynn (Ron) Kushner, Kathy Jean (Mark) Osenkiel, Karen Sue Prinloe, Sharon (Pixie) McDaniel, Kevin (Lori) McDaniel, Gwen (Ed) Shipley, Dennis (Carol) McNabb, Patricia Sue Hill, Michael (Tracy) McNabb, Penny Cash, Steve (Belinda) Shell, Sandra (Sandy) Hazenfield, Julie Morgan and Melanie (Patrick) Noel. Sandra was a very loving mother and daughter and will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Contributions in memory of Sandra may be made to the First Baptist Church, Philadelphia, TN. A memorial reception will be held in the fellowship hall of the church from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, Nov. 12th, First Baptist Church, 606 Church St. Philadelphia, TN 37846.
