Obituary for Sandra Sue Wehrle Sandra Sue Wehrle passed away quietly Tuesday morning at The Springs of Butte. She was born in Butte, the youngest of 8 children, Wednesday, May 7, 1941, to Eldon and LaVera (Thompson) Alden. Sue attended Butte schools and on August 30, 1958, married Billy Dean Wehrle in the family home on Massachusetts Avenue.

Sue worked at Artcraft Printers for 10 years then worked many years at the Montana Standard until her retirement without ever taking a sick day. Sue was very active in the P.T.A. at the Emerson School and volunteered as a Blue Bird and Camp Fire leader to many girls including her daughters. In her later years Sue loved to clog and belonged to the Silver Bow Stompers.

She enjoyed getting together with her grade school girl friends every month until her illness prevented her from joining them. Sue is survived by her husband Bill Wehrle of Butte her daughters-and sons-in-law, Patti and Mike Thomas of Missoula, Peggy McCoy and Mark Tweedie of Deer Lodge, son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Mary Ann Wehrle of Rock Springs, WY, grandchildren: Clark and Michelle Carle, Jeremy and Lindsey Thomas, Jimmy McCoy, Kasie and Kevin Rogge, Jacquelyn Wehrle, Billie Jo Wehrle and Corey O’Neill, Derek and Lindsey Wehrle and Brandon Wehrle. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Liam O’Neill, Cooper Wehrle, Jacob Carle, Melanie Carle, Ellie Carle, Kenzi Whitaker, Keilynn Rogge and Kennedy Rogge.

She is also survived by her brother, Richard E. Alden of Billings. Sue is preceded in death by her son Billy C. Wehrle who passed away in 2015, her parents, Eldon and LaVera Alden, her brothers, Frank and Robert Alden, sisters: Lila Harter, Iona Alden, Pat Heeden and Linda Williams, sister-in-law, Florence Alden, brother-in-law, Bob Wehrle and Bill’s parents, Evelyn and Milton Wehrle. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Springs of Butte for the loving care they provided Sue.
