Obituary for Frank J. Reese Frank J. Reese 97, of Butte Montana passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in his home. He was born April 30, 1921 in Eddy, Montana to the late David and Grace (Crocker) Reese. Frank joined the Army at the age of 18 and served in WWII.

Following his honorable discharge he went to work in the Steward Mine and later the Kelley Mine as a Motor Man over 35 years. He is remembered by most, for his walking around Butte. He walked 12 miles a day, 5 days a week and for 39 years many people grew up watching the all time favorite “Butte walking Man”.

He walked up until he was 92 years old. Gramps had the biggest heart and would have given you the world if he could have and sometimes he did just that. He was one of the good ol’ boys and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

You will forever be in our hearts until we meet again. Love your family. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
