Obituary for Ralph Eugehe “Jock” Hewitt Ralph “Jock” Eugene Hewitt, 88, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Butte, MT. Jock was born on November 5,1929 to Lon and Bessie Hewitt in Parsons, KS. As an only child, he grew up in Denver, CO.

In 1950, Jock began his service in the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Korean War. Upon the completion of his tour, he began a career with Montgomery Elevators. After retiring in 1991, Jock spent his time doing what he loved – fishing Georgetown Lake in his “secret spot” and hunting throughout Montana.

Jock, an avid outdoorsman, was known to many as the “Fishing Professor”. In his later years, he enjoyed watching boxing matches, races, football, and old western movies. Raising four children, Jock was a good provider and a hard worker.

He moved his family to Butte, MT in 1976. In 1992, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline Williams of Butte, MT. He is preceded in death by his father and mother and is survived by his wife Jacqueline Hewitt; son Ross (Michelle) Hewitt of Ramah, CO; son Ron Coffman of Greeley, CO; son Thom Coffman of Spokane, WA; daughter Cheryl (Joe) Costinett of Greeley, CA; stepdaughter Lori Walund of Bellevue, WA; stepson Michael (Theresa) Williams of Salt Lake City, UT; stepson Pat Williams of Butte, MT; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
