Obituary for Theodore Grant Thompson Theodore Grant Thompson passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home in Butte. He was born Tuesday, June 29, 1954 in Sidney, Montana to Grant and Marian (Doney) Thompson. He attended schools in Butte, Basin and Boulder including Sacred Heart in Butte and graduating from Jefferson County High School.

He also earned an Associate Degree in electronics from the Helena Vo-Tech. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy and following his honorable discharge, worked for Bell Telephone for several years in Helena before moving to Butte. He worked 15 years at The Butte Sheltered Workshop, then Wal-Mart before moving to the Front Street Safeway where he retired from.

He was a pleasant, peaceful quiet man and an avid reader. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Erickson of Belgrade and several nieces and nephews including: Bob Bauer of Butte, Jamie Morris of Pierre, SD, Laurie Wall of Kansas City, MO, Joe Erickson of Belgrade, Shanda Cook of Glendive, Wanda Gibson of Kirby, MT, Ben Erickson of Belgrade, Margo Meyer of Cut Bank, Pat Meyer of Kevin, MT, Greg Meyer of Bakersfield, CA, Jim Matlack of Arizona, Fred Meyer of Missouri, Joley Matlack of Arizona, Heidi Matlack of Butte and Samantha Matlack of Three Forks.
