Sara’s Obituary Sara Rhyne Davis, 92, of Gastonia passed away January 15, 2019 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1926, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late, John Henderson Rhyne and Stella Stroupe Rhyne. Sara is survived by her loving daughter, Sally Jenkins Jones of Gastonia; grandchildren, Katrina Duncan, Sara Adams, Peggy Gunter, Rebecca Carter and Reginald Davis; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Toad” Davis; son, Reginald J. Davis; and several brothers and a sister. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC, officiated by the Reverend Sally Queen. The family will receive friends 2 – 3 pm prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be private. A guest registry is available to sign online at www. greenefuneral.com Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
