Obituary for Sara Weaver Houpt Murrells Inlet Sara Weaver Houpt, age 90, died on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Inlet Coastal Resort, Murrells Inlet, SC an assisted living facility. Born in Chester, PA, Sara was the daughter of the late Mary and Milton Weaver. Sara was a loving wife and mother.

She was always an active member of her community and was an active member of her church St. Stephen’s Episcopal, in Norwood, PA and with the Church of the Resurrection in Surfside Beach, SC. Sara worked for Polymer Dispersions Inc. Crum Lynne for over 20 years. She loved to travel and cook for family and friends from her large collection of cookbooks.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband John Samuel Houpt and her son-in-law Scott Kast. Survivors include her children, Steven Houpt (Roxanne) of Murrells Inlet, Claire DeGraaf (David)of Rockford, MI, Carol King (Paul) of Ridley Park, PA, Nancy Kast of Aston, PA; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
