Sarah L. Creamer, 86, passed away at home on Monday, February 11, 2019. Sarah was born on July 14, 1932, to the late William Gladys and Nora Bessie Wood. Growing up in Kentucky, she attended Moore Springs School.

She later worked on a production line at the St. Regis Paper Company for many years, until retiring in 1992. Sarah married the love of her life, John J. Creamer, in 1968, and he survives in Marion. Sarah loved to garden – whether it was vegetables or flowers, she loved it.

She was very proud of her garden and yard and worked hard to maintain it. On occasion, she would interrupt John while he was mowing to show him how it should really be done. She was also an amazing cook – it didn’t matter what it was, it was delicious.

She always made sure dinner was ready for John when he got home. Being the caretaker she was, she made sure that you had a full belly when you left! In addition to her husband, John, Sarah will be missed by her four children, Ronnie (Teresa) Cawthorn, Ladson, SC, William Cawthorn, TN, Mark (Tammy) Cawthorn, Shipshewana, and Sherry (Don Wilson) Cawthorn, Fairmount; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with two on the way; and her loving furbabies, Gray and Sassy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nora, as well as her son, Donnie Cawthorn; grandson, Chris Dudley; sister and brother-in-law Howard and Geneva Wilson; and brother, Von Wood. Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow, with Pastor Joe Shaver officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.
