Obituary for Sarah Jordan (Gable) Sarah Leona Jordan, 86, of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born October 28, 1931 in Philadelphia, TN the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Roberts) Gable. Leona graduated from Lakeview High School in 1950.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. After working 20 years at Clark Equipment she retired in 1983. Leona then went on to work at Collateral Management until 1994.
Leona is survived by her children, Kenneth (Diane) Jordan, Jr. of New York and Connie Jordan of Battle Creek; and grandchildren, Christopher Jordan of New York and Sarah (Cory Getman) Jordan of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Jordan; her parents; brother, Charles Gable, Jr.; and sisters, Virginia Rowland, Una Roberts, and Vivian Pierce. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor John Fulton of Bedford Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Oaklawn Hospice or Bedford Bible Church.
