Obituary for Steven Smith Steven Douglas Smith, 66, of Brethren, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1951, the son of Lincoln Emanuel Smith and Margaret Ann (Koscher) Kirsch. Steven graduated from Comstock High School.

After school he joined the U.S. Army and served faithfully. Upon his return home he worked for Eckrich, the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas, then later Little River Casino in Manistee, MI. Steve is survived by his Daughter, Noelle (Steve) Brown; Son, Steven Smith, II; Grandchildren, Katelyn and Brody Brown, and Alahna Pennock; two Brothers, Phillip Smith and Kenneth Kirsch, as well as a host of friends and other loving family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Lincoln Emanuel Smith, Daughter, Coben Pennock, and brothers, Mikel and Mark Smith. Steve enjoyed everything outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and gold prospecting among other activities. A graveside service will be held at the Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, on Friday, July 27, 2018, 11:30 am.

Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
