Selena’s Obituary Selena Risner, 48, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her home. Born June 13, 1970 in Ashland, KY, Selena was the daughter of Shelba Jean (Cox) Risner of Lawrenceburg and the late Edward L. Risner. Selena worked as a Clinical Dialysis Technician in Troy, NY and Frankfort, KY.

She was a diehard University of Kentucky sports fan. Along with her mother, Selena is survived by her brother, Eric Risner and his wife Dawn of Georgetown; an uncle and aunt, Kenneth Cox and his wife Ginger of Richmond; her friends and caregivers, Debbi Hess of Lawrenceburg, Veronica Slone of Lexington, Chrissy Endicott of Ashland; and her beloved service dog, Brodie. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM Friday, May 31st and 12 – 1 Saturday, June 1st at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Service will be held on Saturday, June 1st beginning at 1:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Everett Hawkins and Ellery Milburn will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601 or St. Jude Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
