Sharon Monyonne Clark, age 73, passed away on April 29th, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN after a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her children and comforted in her last moments as she went on to glory into the arms of Jesus. She was born to Sherman Coomer and Janelle Kilbourne at Pennington Gap hospital Besides her parents she is preceded in death by, her husband, Estill Clark; Linda Kirkus, Tia “Timi” Taylor; Clark (Chubbs) Bargo.

Survived by her step mother, Lucille Coomer; siblings and their spouses, Eugene “Gene” and (Susan) Coomer, Sue Rigsby, Jackie (Jon) Crawford, Robin Hillman step-sister, David Hillbanks step-brother; her children, Kimberly and (David) Knight of Birmingham, AL, Elizabeth and (Mike) Taylor of Middlesboro, KY, Diane and (Scott) Estep of Lexington, KY, Teressa and (Jonathan) Barrow of Smyrna, TN, Blake Clark of Asheville, NC; 16 nieces and nephews, 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Sharon Clark was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. Her children were always her joy and pride in this world, and for every grandchild or great grandchild, the love only grew more.

She will always be remembered fondly as a mother who fully supported all of her family through all the trials and tribulations of life. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Laws Jones Funeral home in Harlan on Tuesday, (May 1) 6 – 8:00 pm Funeral services will be held noon on Wednesday, (May 2) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Barrow, Blake Clark, Chase Branson, Storm Branson, Royal Bargo, David Knight, Eric Dawson, Gene Coomer. Please donate money to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in lieu of flowers. Please feel free to leave a memory, condolence, or photo at www.
