Gladys Slusher Miniard, 85 of Harlan passed away on Sunday morning of July 1, 2018 at the Harlan ARH. Mrs. Miniard was born January 11, 1933 in Leslie Co., KY to the late William and Rosa Nantz Slusher. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, quilting, and cooking for her family for whom she loved fiercely.

She believed in the Baptist faith and had attended Victory Baptist Church. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John H. Miniard; siblings, Alta Warren, Martha Smith Whitehead, Oscar Whitehead, Ira Whitehead, Susie Slusher, Willard Slusher, Billie McLaughlin. She is survived by her children, Rose Marie (Gary) Rains, John Woje, William J. (Karen) Miniard, Earlesa Ann Miniard; grandchildren, John William Phelps, Justin Earl Miniard, Allison E. Miniard, Katie M. (Josh) Roark, Cody J. (Bridgette) Miniard; great grandchildren, Raegan L. Miniard, Emmy Roark, Dayton Miniard, Josie Jones, Evan Winn, and Auddie Winn; 1 brother, James Slusher; 1 sister, Vernice Bidstrup; 1 sister-in-law, Shirley Fee Slusher; she leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 5:00 pm on Tuesday (July 3) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm on Tuesday (July 3) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Freeman officiating.

Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday (July 5) at the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Family & Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery chapel just prior to service time. Please feel free to leave a memory, condolence, or photo at www.
