Obituary for Shaun Ireland Shaun A. Ireland, 35, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born on March 13, 1983 in Charleston, SC, the son of Kevin and Karen Nichols Ireland. Shaun graduated from General McLane High School in 2001 and went on to serve in the United States Army.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University. Shaun worked in the lost prevention department at Best Buy. He was a member of Planet Fitness where he enjoyed weight lifting.

Shaun is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Nichols and his paternal grandparents, Phyllis and Tillman Ireland. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers Jeremy (Colleen) and Brian Ireland, and his two sisters, Carrie Miller and Andrea Ireland; his nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Dalton, Liam, and Evelyn; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Nichols; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.

Erie, PA 16504, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church – 8880 W. Main St. McKean PA 16426, on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
