Obituary for Shawn Riley Shawn S. Riley, age 62, a lifelong Janesville resident, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home. Shawn was born July 20, 1955 in Janesville, the son of the late William R. & Glenna Rae (Whitmyer) Riley. He attended school in Janesville, and was a graduate of Craig High School, Class of 1974.

Shawn worked at several Janesville area businesses, most notably for AMTEK, and also had worked at Harris Ace Hardware. He loved music and playing his guitar. He’ll be remembered for his quick and wonderful sense of humor, but he also had a love of politics and enjoyed debating the issues.

He loved history, and especially if it involved the World Wars. Shawn was an avid Die-Hard Chicago Cub fan. He is survived by his 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Bill (fiancée, Jackie Omdell) Riley, of Highlands Ranch, CO, Tim (Penny) Riley, Anna (Todd pribble) Riley, both of Janesville, Mick (Mary) Riley, of Machesney Park, IL, and Dani (Ron Killen) Steurer, of Niles, OH, his beloved nieces and nephews, and by many friends.

Memorial services celebrating Shawn and his life will be held at a later date.
