Shawn M. Lloyd of Modena, and a lifelong area resident, entered into rest at home, surrounded by his family and friends, after a brief battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme, on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was 34. The son of Kitty Johnson and Ken Lloyd, Shawn was born on July 17, 1984 in Newburgh.

Shawn worked as a machinist for REELEX Packaging Solutions in Patterson, NY, the only manufacturer of REELEX coiling machines. The family will be forever grateful to the owners and staff of REELEX for their support, generosity, compassion and kindness. Shawn enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden, hunting, fishing and taking hikes with his family.

He was a graduate of Wallkill High School and a great fan of the Yankee’s. Shawn was blessed to have so many friends and family who loved him and provided support during his illness. In addition to his wife Charlotte, daughter Jordin and infant son Carter, Shawn is survived by his mother Kitty Johnson and stepfather Linn Dyer of Gardiner; his father Ken Lloyd and stepmother Valerie Lloyd of New Paltz; father-in-law Michael Charles of Gardiner; brothers Kenneth Lloyd and his wife, Lisa of Newburgh and Keith Lloyd of Wallkill; stepsisters: Mara DeAngelis of TN and Teresa Huffman of NC; sister-in-law Felicia (Jose) Charles of Middletown and brother-in-law Jack Heztman.

Shawn is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 No. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, September 28th at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Modena Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, Memorial Gift Program (Ulster), 34 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.
