Shirley Ann Bell, 72, of Sumner, Illinois passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born May 30, 1946 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Clifford Franklin and Frances Marie (Carie) Holmes. She married Richard Clyde Bell on September 30, 1966 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1997.

Shirley worked as a dietary aide at Pine Lawn Manor and Lawrence Community Healthcare. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Richard; and three brothers, Russell, Dennis, and Ralph.

Survivors include one son, James Richard Bell and wife, Becky; one grandson, Jacob Bell and wife, Kaeli; and three great-grandchildren, Brenden Mattingly, Lillianne Bell, and Eleanor Bell all of Sumner, Illinois. Graveside service will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Crest Haven Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.
