KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE – Shirley Ann Poole Helton, 86, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. She was born in Lebanon, Virginia; daughter of the late Harold and Nancy Ann Hedrick. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Poole Snapp; husband, Buddy Poole; second husband, Riley Helton; one grandson, David W. Owens; two sisters, Jean Steele and Nagio Lee Duty; and one brother, Clinton Hedrick.

She retired from Russell County Public School System. She is survived by her three sons, Mike Poole and wife, Joyce of Apopka, Flordia, Randy Poole and wife, Kay of Abingdon, Virginia and Johnny Poole and wife, Sara Jane of Lebanon, Virginia; three step children, Christy Campbell of Kingsport, Tennessee, Teresa Ray of Kingsport, Tennessee and Tony Helton of Kingsport, Tennessee; one brother, Bill Hedrick of Abingdon, Virginia; one sister, Betty Bush and husband, Eugene of Solon, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Shirley Ann Poole Helton will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Woody Scott officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Adam Poole, Andrew Poole, John Sabo, Trace Bratton, Christopher Ramsey and Nelson Hayes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. May 24, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
