Obituary for Shirley Mae Reeck Shirley Mae (Anderson) Reeck, 89, died on October 12, 2018 in Winona, MN. She was born on March 29, 1929 in Red Wing to Celestine “Sally” (Colling) and Alfred Anderson. She attended schools in Red Wing, graduating from Red Wing High School in 1947.

She married Roger Reeck on June 21, 1947. She was a stay-at-home mom to her four sons for several years and later worked at Red Wing Super Valu and Citizen’s Security. Shirley and Roger lived in Red Wing until 1971 when they moved to the Twin Cities area until their retirement.

During their retirement years they lived in Brownsville, TX until Roger’s death in 2002. Shirley moved back to Red Wing in 2003. Her last years were spent in assisted living in Winona, MN.

She enjoyed dancing, golfing, playing cards, knitting, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Shirley is survived by sons, Darwin (Sue) of Venice, FL; Jack (Gloria) of The Villages, FL; Tom (Mary) of Winona; daughter-in-law Mary Reeck of Winona; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, son Bruce, and stepbrothers John Jr. and Dennis Welt.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 15 at Mahn Family Funeral Home in Red Wing with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following the service. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.
