Obituary for Shirley Marie Hamilton Shirley Marie Hamilton, 94, of Anderson, passed away on July 12, 2018 at Community Hospital, Anderson. She was born on April 4, 1924 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and resided in Anderson since 1965. She was a Homemaker and a strong loving mother to her 13 kids.

She was a lifetime member of the 30th Street Church of God in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and The Chesterfield American Legion Auxillary. Shirley is survived by her children, John William (Jan) Carpenter, Estel Paul Carpenter, Virgil Casper Carpenter, David DeForest (Linda) Carpenter, Shirley Frances Finney, Flossie Ellen Hunt, Sue Ella Carpenter, Kathy Marie (Bud) Surface, Norma Bea Schmink; and Shirley’s cats, Palmer and Blue; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James Dillard Carpenter, son, Anthony Wallace Carpenter, son, Phillip Thomas Carpenter, husband, John Carpenter, husband, William Hamilton, daughter, Erma Lee Carpenter, mother, Martha Ellen Daniels,and her father, John Daniels.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 16, 2018, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 11:30 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Ned Clark officiating.
