Obituary for Shirley Melancon Shirley Melancon, a native of Labadieville, longtime resident of Thibodaux, and 13 year resident of Audubon Health and Rehab, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the age of 88. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Philomena Catholic Church from 9:00 am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carroll Naquin (Connie), Sally Bearden (Ben), Sandra George (Al), Antoine Gautreaux (Shiela), Ronald Thibodeaux (Ruth), Ellen Gautreaux, and Janice Clavier (Michael). She was preceded in death by her parents, Elphege and Myrtillia Melancon; and sisters, Josephine Naquin, Ann Gautreaux, and Dorothy Thibodeaux.
