Simonne A. (Collins) Raychard, 83, of Biddeford, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford following a brief illness. She was born April 15, 1935 the only child of William and Alice (Hurd) Degrammont; she was educated locally and was a 1954 graduate of Biddeford High School. In 1955 she married Joseph “Sam” Collins; they moved to Connecticut where they lived and worked until returning here in 1962.

They were married 35 years and raised 6 children. Simonne had been employed at Pepperell Mfg. / West Point Stevens for over 40 years; she remains a part of the Living Museum there.

In October of 1989 she married Frank Raychard; they were happily married until his death in 2006. Simonne had worked with several companies in multilevel marketing in both Connecticut and Maine. She loved cooking and feeding people and would do catering for family and friends.

She was known as a woman of strong conviction who held on strongly to her opinions. She is survived by: 2 sons: Samuel W. Collins and Ronald P. Collins of Biddeford 4 daughters: Nancy Malloch and her husband Milford of Kennebunk Patricia Collins of Aldie, VA Cheryl Pombriant and her husband Mark of Saco Melissa Tuttle and her husband Scott of Biddeford 12 grandchildren: Eric Collins and Jeremy Beaulieu, Crystal, James and Jesse Malloch, Jamie, Felicia and Nicholas Collard, Tythian Pombriant and Amber Pombriant, Terje and Freja Tuttle. 13 great grandchildren Visiting Hours will 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.
