Obituary of Stanley Orzechowski Stanley Orzechowski, age 78, beloved husband of Gloria Tafuto Orzechowski of Woodbridge, died peacefully on November 23, 2018 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Health. Born in Derby on March 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Conrad and Elizabeth Szpak Orzechowski. Mr. Orzechowski was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and longtime resident of Woodbridge.

He worked for the State of CT, Department of Transportation for many years, until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Orzechowski was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church where he sang in the choir, participated in countless activities & committees and served as the President of the Parish Council for 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-son, Michael (Nancy) Tafuto of New Haven and step-grandsons, Michael Tafuto of Guilford, Nicholas Tafuto of IL, and James and Louis Tafuto, both of Boston, MA. He was predeceased by brothers, Conrad and Ronald Orzechowski. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM, meeting directly at Sts.

Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
