Obituary of Stella Dripchak Stella Dripchak, age 94, beloved wife of John Dripchak, Sr. of Ansonia, died peacefully on December 25, 2018 at the Shady Knoll Health Care Center, surrounded by her family. Born in Ansonia on August 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Maxim and Mary Kruk Huzi. Mrs. Dripchak was a lifelong resident of Ansonia and a member of Three Saints Orthodox Church.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bingo and was talented in creating crocheted and embroidered heirlooms. In addition to her husband of 70 years, she is survived by her devoted children, John M. Dripchak of Ansonia, Edward (Lucy) Dripchak of Ansonia, Linda Gruttadauria of Ansonia and Rosemary (Neil) Simmons of New Milford; a sister, Dorothy Dokla of Shelton; 9 cherished grandchildren; and 4 great-grandsons; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Anna Sawczuk, Sophia Lucuk, Mildred Chagin; and brothers, Michael, Stephen and John Huzi.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, prior to the service.
