Starling’s Obituary Starling A. Kephart, 85, of Harrodsburg, widow of Francis Willard Kephart, Jr. died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born July 12, 1933 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late William Starling and Hazel Eleanor Olsen Jordre. She was a Reservation Clerk for Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, where she retired after twenty-three years of service.

She was a member of Saint Philips Episcopal Church, one of the founders of the Community Meals and a member of the Harrodsburg Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling and cooking for the Community Meals. Survivors include, one son: Joe Kephart of Lexington, KY, one daughter: Katie (Troy) Lay of Harrodsburg one brother: John William Jordre of FL, three sisters: Diane Meyerratken and JoAnn Nordmeyer both of Northern, KY, Suzanne Ashworth of OH, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one son: Stephen Kephart and one daughter: Anna Kephart. A Celebration of Star’s Life will be conducted, 1:00 P.M., April 13, 2019 at the Saint Philips Episcopal Church with Father Doddema officiating.

Family and friends may gather April 13, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church to celebrate Star’s life and share memories. While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may also take the form of donations to the Saint Philips Episcopal Church.
