Obituary for Stella Mae Doucet Stella Doucet, 87, a native of Jennings and resident of Houma, passed away on August 31, 2018. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 9am to 11am, with the service to start at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Doucet Percy and husband Gary, Paul Harris Doucet Jr. and wife Charlotte, and Renee’ LeBoeuf; grandchildren, Dina Touchard, Paul Doucet III, Jessica Duet, Brandi Darcey, Gabrielle LeBoeuf, Jana Adams, and Justin Doucet; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Meaux; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Teel Meaux; brothers, Henry Gautreaux and Leroy Meaux; sister, Florance Mercer; and son in law, Kenneth LeBoeuf. Stella enjoyed working, eventually retiring after 23 years, at Mother’s Restaurant, collecting frogs, baking pumpkin bread, and playing her crossword puzzles. She also loved spending time with her family and having large family gatherings.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Maison De Ville Nursing Home and St. Joseph Hospice. Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
