Obituary for Stephen J. McGuire Appling, GA – Stephen Jerry “Steve” McGuire, 49, husband of Stacie Morris McGuire, entered into rest on Friday, September 21, 2018, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Kiokee Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Hartman officiating. Steve was born in Augusta to Marilyn Overstreet McGuire and the late Jerry Gale McGuire.

He was an Industrial Mechanic for Pactiv Corporation. He attended Kiokee Baptist Church and was a member of Beech Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Steve loved to work on cars and spend time with his family.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and had a talent for making gun holsters and leather crafts as well as woodworking. He was a man of all trades. Survivors include his wife Stacie M. McGuire; two sons, Richard William Douglas (Hali) and Dallas Stephen McGuire; three daughters, Heather McGuire Roberts (Drew), Tiffany McGuire Johnson (Cliff) and Shelby Nichole Douglas; two brothers, Clinton Hurst McGuire (Katherine) and Phillip Wayne McGuire (Kimberly); one sister, Tonya McGuire Burke (Andy Leanza); seven grandchildren, Harlan, Kolbie, Camden, Jackson, Casey, Silas and Jaxi.
