Stephen “Steve”‘s Obituary Stephen “Steve” Elliott, age 77 of Nappanee, died at 1:20 am, Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Courtyard Healthcare Center, Goshen, where he has resided for 6 years. He was born November 1, 1941 in Goshen to Claude Robert and Freida (Sawyer) Elliott. Steve was a lifetime resident of this area.

On May 14, 1961, he married Nancy Wisler at Coalbush United Methodist Church in Mishawaka. Steve had worked at Heckaman Homes in Nappanee and Elliott’s Lawn Care. He was a member of the Nappanee Conservation Club.

He enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting, camping, and fishing. Surviving is his wife, Nancy; children, Lee Elliott, Rick Elliott, both of Nappanee, Brenda Penner, Leesburg, Debbie (Chris Hughes) Elliott, Silverlake, Dixie (Howard) Schwartz, New Paris; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brothers, Buzz Elliott, Syracuse and Dave Elliott Milford. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Family and friends may call Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 12 – 4:30 pm at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 pm. Rev.

Jesse Beer will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee Conservation Club.
