Age 73 of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born June 21, 1945 in Logan, West Virginia to Gordon and Virginia (Dyer) Blake. Steven graduated from Huntington High School in 1963 and from Marshall University with a degree in Business Administration.

He honorably served his country for two years in the U.S. Army. Steve worked for over 30 years for Norfolk Southern Railroad in the operations and marketing department. He loved running, tennis, and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

He is survived by his wife, Connie (Baer) Blake; sons, Jason Blake of Cincinnati and Jeremy (Buwon Choi) of Fairfax, VA; daughter, Krista (Chris) Andrews of Cincinnati; brother, Don (Donna) Blake of Kannapolis, NC; two grandchildren, Lily and Claire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Blake. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jason Coriell officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Online condolences may be shared at www.
