Steven’s Obituary Steven Franklin Smith, 45, of Parkersburg passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 14, 1974 in Wood County, WV, a son of Patsy Buchanan Smith of Parkersburg and the late James Smith. He formerly worked at Catfish Paradise in Belpre, OH as manager and also worked for Winans’ Services.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Steven had a passion for animals, especially strays and was known to take them in and nurse them back to health. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Dan Fauxsmith (Jennifer) of Boston, Mass.

; his aunt, Virginia Nicholson; his cousin, Rose Nicholson; his best friend, Rob Flynn; and his furry friends, Teddy, his dog and Roscoe, his cat. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Gedny Buchanan; his paternal grandparents, Lee and Betty Naylor; and his uncle, Harvey Buchanan. Per his request, there will be no visitation or funeral at the funeral home.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
